ABard ist Albert Bardewyck. Dahinter stecke ich, allein. Ich schreibe die Texte, die Arrangements und die Gesangsmelodien, und ich produziere sie mit generativen Werkzeugen und meinem eigenen Mix zu fertigen Aufnahmen.
Die Musik ist Hard Rock mit einem Rückgrat aus den Achtzigern, symphonische Wucht, und Balladen, die sich Zeit lassen. Es gibt keine Band und keine erfundene Geschichte. Ich mache diese Musik, weil ich sie hören will, und ich mache weiter, weil sie mir Freude macht.
Who
ABard is Albert Bardewyck. That's me, on my own. I write the lyrics, the arrangements and the vocal melodies, and I produce them with generative tools and my own mixing into finished recordings.
The music is hard rock with a spine from the eighties, symphonic weight, and ballads that take their time. There is no band and no invented story. I make this music because I want to hear it, and I keep going because it makes me happy.
Wie es entsteht
Am Anfang steht fast immer eine Zeile und eine Melodie. Ich schreibe, verwerfe, schreibe neu. Erst wenn der Refrain sitzt, entsteht daraus eine Aufnahme. Ich arbeite an jedem Song mehrere Fassungen durch, und was am Ende veröffentlicht wird, ist die Version, die mich selbst nicht mehr loslässt.
Zu jedem Song gibt es hier eine Seite mit der Geschichte dahinter und dem vollständigen Text, auf Deutsch und im Original. Diese Seiten sind mir wichtiger als jede Reichweite.
How it comes together
It almost always starts with a line and a melody. I write, throw it away, write it again. Only once the chorus holds does it become a recording. I work through several versions of every song, and what finally gets released is the one I can't let go of myself.
Every song has its own page here, with the story behind it and the full lyrics, in the original and in translation. Those pages matter more to me than any reach.
